When your spine is out of order, nothing in your life goes right. Yes, we specialize in spine care, but we don’t just take care of bad backs and achy parts; we take care of whole people.
A holistic approach to health is one that considers you as a complete living being with physical, chemical and mental attributes. That’s why I designed the Triad of Health pamphlet below as a guide to holistic self-care so that you can play an important role in achieving and maintaining good health, naturally.
Spinal adjustments are tailored to your needs each and every visit. I use several different techniques depending on the condition, including manual, instrument, and the Thompson drop-table adjustments.
A native San Diegan and graduate of USD, Dr. Patch has been a licensed chiropractor since 1982. His family practice, located in Ocean Beach since summer 1984, is a holistic, health-based practice with emphasis on good posture, moderate exercise, healthy lifestyle, and the chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Patch is equally comfortable adjusting little bitty babies, robust athletes, semisedentary office workers, or venerable senior citizens. He is also a second-degree Reiki practitioner, which helps explain why his hands are so attuned to the artistry of the adjustment. His athletic, outdoor lifestyle-surfing, snow skiing, golf, camping, spear fishing-combined with his strong science grounding, fascination for the natural world and all walks of mankind make him an interesting, fun, empathic, and informative doctor.
The office is freeway convenient on Sunset Cliffs Blvd. at the corner of Santa Monica.
The Triad of Life is fun and useful guide to your holistic Health-not just lack of disease or symptoms, but an exalted state of the highest, most perfect physical, chemical and spiritual function. The checklist within helps us manage the essential requirements of life, and gives us something to strive for. There are three sides to the triangle: Physical, Chemical and Mental. They are all interlinked; each side supports and affects the other two. Although you cannot stay alive without all three, of foremost importance is the physical, without which there would be no life form called You. You, as a conscious, living creature have the power to influence all three sides of the Triad. Here are my recommendations:
Keep your Triad of Life checklist handy where you can view it regularly and monitor your progress. Remember, if you make one change, positive or negative, it affects all three sides of the triad. It is a life’s work to achieve and maintain good health. It is worth it. Persevere.
If you have any questions about the Triad of Life, or chiropractic, feel free to inquire. Dr. Patch is available on a limited basis for speaking engagements on the topic of Health and Chiropractic to students or public groups.
